
Moldova launches National Forestry Consultancy Office
The Government of Moldova has launched a National Forestry Consultancy Office (NFCO) to provide necessary expertise and assistance (informational, technical, and financial) for improved forest management in the country.

Moldovan Forest Agency tests its first timber traceability system
Within the FLEG II Program in Moldova, on 10th of February 2015, a work meeting was held at Moldsilva Forestry Agency. The meeting aimed to present a wood traceability draft software application. The application is meant for wood traceability, a monitoring system from the standing timber till the end user.

New Partnerships to improve the Forestry Education in Moldova
On Tuesday, February 10, 2015, the Ecology College in Chișinău, Moldova and WWF-Danube Carpathian Programme (WWF-DCP) signed two important partnership documents, which support the development of forestry education in Moldova Republic. One partnership foresees the collaboration of the College with WWF- DCP, the other document represents the first international collaboration of the Moldovan school with the “Bucovina” Forestry Highschool from Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Romania.

IUCN has recently finalized the selection of the “ENPI FLEG IUCN Moldova Journalists Trainer”. Three organizations expressed their interest in the announced position – “Natura” Magazine, Public Association Ave-Natura and Moldovan Environmental and Eco Tourism Journalists Association (AJMTEM).
