Amazing Forest Facts

When attacked by insects, trees can flood their leaves with defense chemicals. They are distasteful to tree pests and can even impede their growth. Once a tree is attacked, it will signal to other nearby trees (with the help of chemicals released into the air or with signals through the fungi network that connects roots) to also start their self-defense, before they are attacked.
