Home at Last: Tusheti Protected Landscape Officially Under Local Control
AKHMETA, Georgia—In September of 2014, the Georgian Government officially transferred forest management control of the Tusheti Protected Landscape to the Tushetian people by authorizing the local Tusheti Protected Landscape Administration (TPLA) to manage the forests in the Protected Area.

Assessing Forest Dependency in Eastern Europe
Over the last four months, consultants have braved watchdogs and other daunting challenges to complete surveys of over 1250 households in forest communities in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia, and Ukraine. Preparing the final mile in historic handover of Georgian forest protection to local control

Stakeholders Meeting on TEEB Scoping Study and FSC in Baku
On the 4th of August 2014, in the frames of the FLEG II (ENPI East) Programme a stakeholders meeting was organized by WWF-Azerbaijan in Baku. The aim of the meeting was to present to the participants a draft of the study analysis carried out by the consultants, in order to obtain their feedback through open discussion and to incorporate their relevant comments and suggestions into the final report.
