Youth Contest of Drawings “My Native Forest” is announced in the frame of “European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) East Countries Forest Law Enforcement and Governance (FLEG) II Program”
The contest scope is to help the participant pupils visualize natural forests of their native regions and demonstrate the uniqueness of these forests. The regions of Georgia with substantial forest cover (Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, Guria, Ajara, Imereti, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Shida Kartli, Mtskheta-Mtianeti, Kakheti), plus the capital city of Tbilisi, are welcome to participate.
This activity will contribute to the implementation of the FLEG II Program Development Objective “improve knowledge of and support for sustainable forest management and good forest governance in the participating countries”.
By the end of November during the Forest week the best drawings, will be demonstrated to the general public at an exhibition and 12 winner authors will be awarded with the invitation at Ecovision eco camp.
Participants are free to choose any technique of drawing. The drawing should be performed on A3 or A4-sized paper by watercolor or colored pencils, or similar tools. Submitted drawings should contain author name, contact information, school name and address. Deadline for submitting drawings is October 25, 2015.

The regional “European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) East Countries Forest Law Enforcement and Governance (FLEG) II Program" promotes sustainable forest governance, management, and protection of forests in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine.
The Program ensures the contribution of the region's forests to climate change adaptation and mitigation, to ecosystems and biodiversity protection, and to sustainable livelihoods and income sources for local populations and national economies.
This program is funded by the European Commission and will be implemented by the World Bank in partnership with WWF and IUCN.
