IUCN has recently finalized the selection of the “ENPI FLEG IUCN Moldova Journalists Trainer”. Three organizations expressed their interest in the announced position – “Natura” Magazine, Public Association Ave-Natura and Moldovan Environmental and Eco Tourism Journalists Association (AJMTEM).
The IUCN Evaluation Committee decided to award the contract to Moldovan Environmental and Eco Tourism Journalists Association (AJMTEM), and the duration of the contract is13 months (May 2014 – May 2015).
The main scope of the assignment is to assist the ENPI FLEG program and Agency Moldsilva conduct trainings with selected journalists and organize a contest to solicit the best media materials produced by trained journalists. It will ensure more accurate reflection of FLEG issues in the mass-media and encourage journalists in addressing a full range of social, economic and environmental aspects of forest management and conservation.
